01 ORIGIN
This Name, Called Since Dayu's Flood Control
Xingyang has been a county for 2200+ years, 「Records of the Grand Historian」 records Xingyang place names 140+ times — understand it to know how deep this factory city's foundation is.
2—10 万年前织机洞遗址——古人类在此繁衍生息，文明的第一道刻痕。
夏《尚书·禹贡》载「荥波既潴」——夏禹治水，济水南溢为荥，汇而成泽，是为荥泽。
战国韩国在荥水北岸筑城，名曰荥阳——两千多年，名字没换过。
前 221 年秦统一天下，置三川郡，郡治荥阳，辖荥阳、巩、京等县。
前 230 年秦于广武山麓建敖仓，储粮屯兵——荥阳一跃成为天下军事重镇。
楚汉刘邦项羽在此长期对峙，以鸿沟为界中分天下——象棋盘上的「楚河汉界」即源于此。
西汉大司农桑弘羊列荥阳为「天下名都」，与蓟、邯郸、洛阳并列。
265 年西晋置荥阳郡，郡治仍在荥阳，辖今郑州、开封大部。
633 年郑州州府治所移至管城——此前隋文帝改荥州为郑州，「郑州」之名源出荥地。
1994 年撤县设市——从三川郡到县级市，2200 多年立县史翻开新篇。
